You can do this already, y'know:

class Company
  def self.high_rated
    query_context.select { |c| c.rating > 3 }
  end
end

>> Company.high_rated.to_s...

Nicolas wants:

class Provider < AR
 has_many :orders
end

class Order < AR
 belongs_to :provider
end

Provider.select { |p| p.name =~ 'A%' && p.orders...
